We started DeclarePay because the merchant services industry needed someone willing to pick up the phone, explain the bill, and earn the relationship every month.
A Different Kind of Payment Company
DeclarePay was started by a group of small business owners who were tired of indecipherable statements, surprise rate hikes, and support reps who'd never run a register. We'd collectively spent decades on the merchant side of the counter — and we knew there had to be a better way.
So we built one. We hired in-house underwriters instead of outsourcing approvals. We picked one phone number and committed to picking it up. We rewrote our statements until even our least technical merchant could read them in under sixty seconds.
Today we're still privately held, based in the United States, and proud that most of our growth comes from referrals. The businesses we serve are family-owned salons, neighborhood restaurants, mobile service contractors, and independent retailers — the ones the big processors leave on hold.
We don't aspire to be the biggest payment processor in the country. We aspire to be the one our customers brag about.
